the ask —
VIVA desired to raise the production value of the video spots for this years baseball stadium promotions.
Moving to a more cinematic look and feel while still delivering in 29.97 HD for broadcast.
Production days had a hard start at 8:00AM and stop by 4:45PM to minimize security and facility costs.
how we did it —
DCV recommended
shooting RED Camera in 5K on Angenieux EZ Cine zooms, allowing flexibility in post production and minimizing delays for lens changes during the production.
We advised using a simple dolly on track and camera crane to add smooth motion to each shot for a more engaging production.
For more complex moves, we used a MoviPro gimbal with a wireless mimic system, allowing us to control the Movi remotely while it was 30 ft in the air. It's a pretty cool piece of technology!
We used wireless video monitors and focus control to keep up speed of production and cut down on cable rerouting.
Extras and wardrobe and makeup were casted, craft serviced and managed by a two person team.
